rural and rustic design vernacular, interpreted with a modern edge
Situated in the foothills of Braemar Hill, the design of Novum East draws the surrounding verdant greens into the project, from the external columns and the sculpted green wall at the entrance, to the bonsai-themed décor inside the clubhouse.
The interiors reinterpret rural and rustic charm with effortless flair. Taking cues from classic farmhouses, the residents’ clubhouse is conceptualized as an “Urban Barn”, with a collection of luxurious entertainment and amenity spaces.
“We want Novum East’s residents to feel a sense of comfort and indulgence, like it is an extension of their apartments.”
The “Urban Barn” is presented as a singular, continuous space, tied together by a sloped ceiling to it a lofty atmosphere. Individual areas are defined by low walls and sliding partitions, which maximize the opportunity for an open and flexible experience.
Throughout the interiors, light timber and earth tones are matched with metallic accents. Other details – brick patterns, handcrafted textures and organic shapes – are combined to give a distinctive and modern touch.
