simplicity in materials, fluidity in forms
“28 Aberdeen Street explores luxury through materiality and craft.”
Located across from PMQ, 28 Aberdeen Street is an exploration of luxury through materiality and craft. A boutique residential development comprising 40 apartments, the Entrance Lobby is defined by rounded walls of sumptuous silver travertine.
The travertine slabs create a mild gradation of grey and beige tones, which become lighter at the top. These walls frame the view of a richly-planted outdoor garden, anchored by greenery and a magnificent stone sculpture.
Within the light-filled units, the focal point of the Living Room is a kitchenette with smoked-oak and bead-blast aluminum cabinets. Other built-in fixtures are kept to a minimum to maximize flexibility for occupants. via. also furnished the Garden Duplex and Roof Penthouse with a retro-modern sensibility.
On every floor, the lobby is treated as part of the journey to the individual apartment units. Travertine is the main floor material matched with block metal and timber. On the tower’s third floor, a communal lounge space – the Pantry – is designed to offer full views of PMQ, with a concierge counter and social space for residents.
