refined arrival journey

Staying true to the concept of Culture of Time, via. led the creative vision for the guest arrival experience at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui, celebrating Hong Kong’s rich heritage.
A 4.5‑metre‑tall signature wall anchors the lobby, composed of over 2,000 pieces of color‑relief glass inspired by the brick palette of the original Signal Hill Tower.

The CONCIERGE and FRONT DESK counters are designed with stepped profiles that echo the silhouette of the Signal Hill Tower. Behind the desk, a triangulated timber backdrop frames Signal Hill Peninsula -Katrina Leigh Mendoza Raimann’ stufted tapestry inspired by Hong Kong’s topography.

At BIRDSONG, a series of dichromatic mirrors designed by one.k.edition adorns the walls, translating recognizable neon signs in a novel manner.

Inside the Living Room, relaxed seating sits beneath retro scallop‑shell porcelain lights. A curated library and rare artworks celebrate Hong Kong’s film, music, photography, and architecture, featuring pieces by Chow Yun‑fat and Man Lim‑chung.

Behind a mirror wall hides the W SUITE, offering select guests a tranquil view of the harbour with the signature “Signal Hill” red.

At the far end, the PRIVATE DINING SALON features deep olive tones, dark timber parquet, and bespoke pendants. Art by young local artists -Don Mak, Miki Lam, Thomas Yuen, Onion Peterman -offers contemporary takes on city and mountain views.

In the BALLROOM on the 16/F, a rhythmic layering of “garden lights” and a soft cloud ceiling evoke the charm of 1960’s gardenesque venues like the Yucca de Lac.
